This article will guide you on how to turn off magic_quotes_gpc from cPanel. Joomla requires Magic Quotes to be turned off before installing it. Follow the below steps to do it from cPanel.

1. Login to cPanel
2. Under Software section click on Select PHP Version

3. Click on Switch to PHP Options

4. Click on the magic_quotes_gpc option and you can turn it off and click on Apply.

5. Once done click on the save button on the bottom of the page and you are done.
