WPO: How to update, deactivate and uninstall plugins

A step-by-step guide to update, deactivate and uninstall plugins using WPO portal.

Keeping your WordPress site healthy means regularly managing your plugins—whether that’s updating them to the latest version, turning them off when not needed, or removing them entirely if they’re no longer in use. In your WPO , you can easily update, deactivate, or uninstall plugins with just a few clicks, all from one convenient dashboard.

  1. Login to your WPO portal using this link.

  2. Click on 'My Sites', select your site, and under Wordpress, click on 'Plugins'.

  3. You will see the update available next to the plugin name that has updates, along with the version number available.

  4. To update the plugin, click the update icon next to it. Please make sure to create a backup using this link before performing updates on your live website.

  5. It will then ask for your confirmation click on 'Proceed'. You will see a pop-up once the plugin has been updated.

  6. To deactivate a plugin, simply click the 'Deactivate' button next to the plugin you want to deactivate.

  7. It will then ask for confirmation. You will see a pop-up once the plugin has been deactivated.


  8. To uninstall a plugin, simply click the bin icon next to the plugin you want to uninstall.

  9. It will then ask for confirmation. You will see a pop-up once the plugin has been uninstalled.


    Congratulations! You've successfully updated, deactivated, or uninstalled your WordPress plugins through the WPO.
