How to configure cPanel backup to Google Drive

Backup your cPanel accounts directly to Google Drive with cPanel Backups.

You can now use your Google Drive space for cPanel backups, and 15 GB is included free with any Google account! This will help you to store data securely and access it from anywhere, anytime.

Update cPanel to Latest Version

This feature is introduced in the latest cPanel version, so make sure that your server has the latest cPanel version. If not, please contact your hosting provider or you can update it from command line :

# /scripts/upcp

Setup Backup Destination

You will need root access to setup/configure cPanel backups.

Step 1. Login to WHM

Step 2. Select 'Backup Configuration' under Backup

Step 3. Select the 'Additional Destinations' tab

Step 4. Select 'Google Drive' under Destination Type :

Step 5. Click 'Create new destination'

Step 6. The remaining options will need to be filled out with information from your Google Drive account API. Follow the steps outlined in cPanel's documentation to obtain that information : https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/CKB/How+to+Configure+Google+Drive+as+a+Backup+Additional+Destination

Step 7. Click ‘Save Destination’ once the information has been entered.
