Claiming your Pinterest provides important analytics for your website. This article will walk you through adding the Pinterest verification TXT record to your DNS records in WPO.

If you do not have your Pinterest TXT record already, please navigate to this link and follow the "Add a DNS TXT record to your domain host" instructions.

Once you have your Pinterest TXT Record you may follow these steps.

Step #1:

Navigate to your website through wpo.bigscoots.com then click the 'Site Details' link on the left-hand side menu.

Step #2:

Select the domain you wish to add the Pinterest record to. In this example, we will be using learn-wpo.com.

Step #3:

On the next page, select the DNS tab.

Now you may feel a bit overwhelmed with what you are about to see on the next screen but pay no attention, only focus on the fields at the top:

Step #4:

From here, 3 things need to happen.

  1. Click the 'A' dropdown and change it to 'TXT'.

  2. Simply put in a '@' in the Name field(@ indicates your domain name)

  3. Copy the Verification record like the one below into the 'Value' field.

Once you are done filling out the TXT Record it should look something like this

Now click the Add Record button to the right

You have completed all the steps on the BigScoots side.

Step #5:

Go back to Pinterest and enter your website URL into the box, then click Verify.

Congrats! This concludes this step-by-step guide to adding your Pinterest verification DNS Record.

NOTE: If for some reason the verification fails, please wait a few minutes and try again, the DNS record we added can take several minutes to a couple of hours to update.
