One essential aspect of managing a website is choosing the right PHP version. By default, BigScoots sets the PHP version to 8.1, but you have the flexibility to switch between different PHP versions, including 7.4, 8.1, and 8.2.

In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of changing the PHP version on BigScoots, ensuring your website stays up-to-date with the latest PHP capabilities.

Step #1:

Begin by logging in to your BigScoots WPO portal > navigate to Site details and Select your domain.

Step #2:

Next, under the "Basic Details" section, you will be able to see the current PHP version selected for your domain.

Click the pencil icon to see the list of available PHP versions.

Step #3:

From the available options (7.4, 8.1, 8.2), select the PHP version that aligns with your website's requirements.

Please Note: Consider the compatibility of your website's plugins and themes with the chosen PHP version. Incompatible plugins or themes may not function properly with the upgraded PHP version.

Click on the PHP version to switch the version. The PHP version upgrade might require a few minutes. Once the update is complete, you will receive a notification on the current screen.
