Managing sites can be a challenging task on your own. To help with this, we've added easy collaborator access into our WPO portal, so that you may bring in others to help build and manage your site. This guide will walk you through the process of adding collaborators and granting permissions.

Add Collaborator to WPO

In this section, we will guide you on how to add a collaborator to your WPO portal.

  1. Log into your WPO portal and click 'Collaborators' on the left side-bar.

  2. Click Add in the top-right.

  3. In the Invite Collaborator pop-up, write the email of the collaborator and select a role. You can give the collaborator either 'Full Account Access', or you limit them by selecting Custom Access.

  4. If you choose 'Custom Access,' you'll need to select the service or site you want to grant the collaborator access to. Once you've made your selection, click 'Next.'

  5. Next, you'll need to set the permissions for your client, choosing whether they can read (view) or modify WP Installs & Migrations, Live Site Details, Staging Site Details, Support Tickets, and Emails. Once you've selected the permissions, click 'Add User.' A pop-up will then appear, where you'll click 'Yes Proceed.'

  6. On the collaborators page, you'll see the collaborators you added. They will receive an email granting them access to your WPO Portal. If the collaborator doesn't receive the email, you can click the green arrow button to resend it.

You will be given a pop-up asking to either resend the invite or copy URL. If the client does not receive the email, you can copy the URL to send the invite to them.

Collaborator Invitation

In this section, we will walk you through how to access a WPO portal sent by a collaborator.

  1. Check your email for a collaboration invite sent from noreply@bigscoots.com. Once found, click Login.

  2. After logging in/signing up, you will be brought to the Collaborations page where you can either click the green checkmark to accept the request or the red trash bin to remove it. After clicking the green checkmark, click 'Yes Proceed' on the pop-up.

  3. Click the blue eye button to access the account.

Manage Collaborators

Now that you have the collaborators set up, you may follow the below guides to manage it as needed.

Edit Collaborator Access

If you are looking to edit a collaborator's permissions, you may do so from your WPO portal. On the collaborations page, click the blue pencil button to edit the collaborator's access. After clicking, you will get the same pop-up as above where you can select permissions.

Delete Collaborator

If you are looking to edit a collaborator's permissions, you may do so from your WPO portal. On the collaborations page, click the red trash can button to edit the collaborator's access. After clicking, you will get the same pop-up as above where you can select permissions.
