Managing user roles and access levels is a key part of maintaining a secure and organized WordPress site. Whether you're adding new team members or restoring access to your admin area, Softaculous makes the process simple and efficient.
In this article, we’ll guide you through how to manage existing WordPress users and create a new admin account directly from the Softaculous dashboard. This can be especially helpful if you’ve lost access to your WordPress admin panel or need to quickly add another administrator without logging into WordPress itself.
Enter cPanel - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.
On the left-side bar, click WordPress Manager by Softaculous.
On the next page, click on the Login button next to your domain. The magic login button will take you directly to your website’s admin area in a new window without asking for a username or password.
If you want to change the password of an admin user or create a new admin account, you can do so by clicking on Manage Users.
To change the password of an admin user, go to the Change Password section, select the admin user, enter the new password, and click Save.
To add an admin user, go to theAdd User section, select the role, fill in all required details, and then click the Add User button.
Congratulations! You’ve successfully managed WordPress users and created an admin account using Softaculous.
