New to WordPress and curious how you would go about creating a new Admin user? No worries, we got you covered!

Please follow the steps provided below.

  • Log into your WordPress admin URL which you can access by simply adding /wp-admin to the end of your URL, example if your domain is bigscoots.com(already taken sorry!) You would browse to bigscoots.com/wp-admin

  • Enter your current admin credentials

  • Once logged in, on the left-hand side, hover over Users and select "Add New".

  • Now you need to enter in at the very least the Username and the email associated with the new admin account.  One easy to overlook option is the Role, you have to click the drop-down and select Administrator.

Please Note: If you are looking to add BigScoots on as a WordPress Admin User for the purpose of completing your migration, please use "BigScoots Support" for the Username, and "staff@bigscoots.com" for the Email.

  • Once you've entered in the required fields, and selected Administrator from the drop-down, click "Add New User".

Success!
