Subdomains can be helpful in creating dev sites or mobile or forum installations eg. dev.yourdomain.tld or forum.yourdomain.tld, separate from your main site.

Cpanel makes this process simple and we will help you around this, please follow the steps to create subdomains:

Step #1:

Enter cPanel - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.

Step #2:

Under the Domains section, select 'Domains'.

Step #3:

Click "Create a New Domain" at the top right of the page.

Step #4:

Fill in the required fields.

Please Note!

Leaving the box ticked will share your new subdomain's document root with the primary domain and you will be unable to install separate software or pages from the primary domain.

Step #5:

Click 'Submit'.

By following along with the above, you will have created a new subdomain "demo.bigscoots1.com" and its document root is at /demo.bigscoots1.com.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a subdomain in cPanel.
