cPanel’s PHP settings allow users to customize the maximum file upload size for their website. This feature enables users to control the largest file size that can be uploaded. To adjust the upload limit, please follow the steps outlined in the guide below.

  1. Enter cPanel - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.

  2. In cPanel, look for the Select PHP Version option under the Software tab.

  3. On the PHP selector page, you will want to switch to the Options tab, there you will see your Current PHP version and be able to select a new PHP version and edit options.

Please note that if your PHP version is marked as native, you will need to change the PHP version to be able to access and change its properties.

  4. After making sure the PHP version is the one you want (and that it isn't native), you can scroll down to change the file upload size under upload_max_filesize. Select the file size you want to switch to. You will then see a green textbox pop up, letting you know the file size has been changed.

  5. If at any point, you would like to return to the default file size, click Reset to default underneath upload_max_filesize.

Congratulations! You've successfully setup file upload size limits.
