cPanel offers a feature that allows you to set up email forwarders, enabling you to forward incoming emails from one email address to another. This is particularly useful for consolidating multiple email addresses into one without needing a separate account for each. The steps below will guide you through setting up an email forwarder.
Creating an email forwarder to services like Gmail or Hotmail is not recommended, as it forwards all messages—including spam—which can result in rate limiting or delivery issues with those providers.
Enter cPanel - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.
In cPanel, look for the Forwarders option under the Email tab.
On the Forwarders page, select the domain from which you want to forward emails, as it will default to All Domains. If you have only one domain, it will automatically default to All Domains when you try to set it. Then, click Add Forwarder to create a new forwarder.
Enter the part of the email address before the @ (the local part) that you want to forward from in the Address to Forward field, and select the appropriate domain under Domain. Next, choose an option under Destination. We recommend selecting Forward to Email Address and entering the email address you want the messages forwarded to. Once everything is configured, click Add Forwarder.
You will be redirected to a confirmation page letting you know that the forwarder was created.
If you are looking to track the deliveries of your emails, you can see it by clicking Trace next to the forwarder.
If you would like to delete the forwarder, click Delete at the side of the forwarder.
You will be directed to a deletion page where you can click Delete Forwarder to delete.
Congratulations! You've successfully setup your email forwarder.
