Security is a top priority for any site manager, and one critical way to protect your site is by blocking IP addresses from accessing it. Whether you're preventing spam, unauthorized access, or other malicious activity, cPanel provides an easy method to block specific IPs. This guide will walk you through the steps to block IP addresses effectively.
Please note: The feature will only block access to the site. It will not impact services such as Webmail.
Enter cPanel - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.
In cPanel, look for the IP Blocker option under the Security tab.
On the IP Blocker page you will be able to enter the IP or range you want blocked. If looking to block an IP range, please write a - in-between the IPs, see below for help:
Single IP: 192.168.0.1
IP Range: 192.168.0.1-192.168.1.55
Once you have entered the IP/Range, click Add to block the IP(s).
After clicking Add, you will receive a green message box confirming the IP Block was successful.
On the IP Blocker page, you can find all IPs blocked on from your site. If you would like to unblock an IP, click Delete on the right side, then Remove IP to unblock.
Congratulations! You've successfully blocked IPs from your site.
