The Zone Editor within cPanel allows clients to manage their A, CNAME, MX and TXT records. Within Zone editor a client can add, edit or remove their records, along with seeing a list of all domains and records created. To begin managing records, you can follow the guide below:
Enter cPanel - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.
In cPanel, look for the Zone Editor option under the Domain tab.
Now in the Zone Editor, you will want to find the domain you wish to add a record to. You can do this either by looking through the table or by using the Filter by domain search box. Once you have found the domain, click Manage.
If you wish to add any DNS record (A,CNAME,TXT,MX) you can click on +Add Record.
To add an 'A' record, select 'A' from the type dropdown, enter the hostname in the Name field, and add the public IP address you want the domain or subdomain to point to in the Record field. Then, click Save Record. Similarly, to add a CNAME record, select 'CNAME' from the dropdown, enter the hostname, specify the value you want it to point to, and click Save Record. The same process applies for adding TXT and MX records as well.
To update or edit an existing DNS record, click Edit next to the record you want to modify, update the server's public IP, and then click Save Record.
Congratulations! You've successfully managed your DNS records using the DNS Zone Editor.
