The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is a crucial component of any website, acting as the 'brain' of the server. It ensures your site can efficiently process operations and handle user requests in a timely manner. Monitoring CPU usage is essential, as consistent overages can lead to slowdowns and other performance issues. To help you keep track of this, cPanel offers graphs that display client usage, which we'll guide you on how to access below.
Enter cPanel - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.
In cPanel, look for the Resource Usage option under the Metrics tab.
On the Resource Usage page, click the Current usage tab to see all the various metrics for your site, including CPU Usage. (As an alternative, you may also get a screen that includes a DETAILS button. Please click the button to see current usage.)
On the Current usage page, you can view information for the following: CPU Usage, Physical Memory Usage, Input/Output Usage, Io operations, Entry Processes, Processes and Faults.
At the top of the graphs, there are two dropdowns, Timeframe and Time Units. Click these buttons to be able to select a timeframe for the graph and how units are handled (Day, Hour, Min).
Below the Current usage section, there is a section titled Usage, where you can see a table view of the data.
Congratulations! You've successfully found your CPU usage.
