AWStats is a powerful tool for generating statistics and gathering insights into how users interact with your site. To improve the accuracy of your data, you can exclude specific IP addresses from the reports. By following the guide below, you'll be able to exclude an IP from AWStats.

  1. Enter cPanel - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.

  2. In cPanel, look for the File Manager option under the Files tab.

  3. In the file directory, look for the folder tmp. Within the folder, look for awstats and head into the file directory. Within the directory, look for a configure (.conf) file for the site you are looking to exclude IPs for.

  4. After finding the file, right click it and select Edit to begin changing the file. A pop-up will appear, click Edit to continue.

  5. In the file, look for a line with the code below:

    SkipHosts=""

    Within the quotation marks, input the IP address you would like excluded. If you are looking to exclude multiple IP addresses, please space them out with a coma, like below:

    SkipHosts="30.224.118.15", "23.42.5.196"

Congratulations! You've successfully excluded an IP address from AWStats.
