Autoresponders are a unique feature of cPanel, which allow for the configuration of automatic email response messages. This feature helps to get a message out to senders in times when the recipient is unavailable. This guide will walk you through how to set up, edit and delete a responder:

Adding an autoresponder

  1. Enter cPanel - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.

  2. Click the Autoresponders option under the Email section from your cPanel Home page.

  3. On the Autoresponders page, select the domain you want to manage then click the Add Autoreponder button.

  4. Under Character Set, select the character set that you want the autoresponder to use.

  5. Under the Interval section, you can set how many hours to wait before automatically responding to the same email address. We recommend always setting an interval (e.g., 12 hours) to prevent a surge of emails in case of spam.

  6. In the Email section, type the e-mail account that the autoresponder sends messages for. In the Domain section, select the domain you want to connect the email to.

  7. In the From text box, type your name or e-mail address.

  8. In the Subject section, type the subject line of the auto response message.

  9. Check the box next to This message contains HTML if you want to enter HTML into the “Body” of your email.

  10. In the Body section, enter your Autoresponder message.'

  11. In the Start section, choose if you want this autoresponder to begin Immediately or set a Custom start time. In the Stop section, choose if you want the autoresponder to Never stop or set a Custom stop time.

  12. Click Create.

  13. Then you will get a confirmation message as follows:

Editing an autoresponder

  1. Click Autoresponders option under the Email section from your cPanel Home page.

  2. Under Current Autoresponders, find autoresponder that you want to edit, then click Edit.

  3. Make the changes to the autoresponder and click Modify.

  4. Then you will get a confirmation message as follows:

Deleting an autoresponder

  1. In the Mail section of the cPanel home screen, click Autoresponders.

  2. Under Current Autoresponders, find autoresponder that you want to delete, then click Delete.

  3. Click Delete Autoresponder.

  4. Then you will get a confirmation message as follows:

Congratulations! You have successfully set up and managed your autoresponders!
