At BigScoots, we understand that managing an account and its sites can be overwhelming on your own. That's why we've added a feature in our Billing portal that allows you to add collaborators to manage your account's technical and billing tasks. In this tutorial, we'll guide you through the process of adding contacts and assigning permissions.
If you currently hold a Managed WordPress (WPO) account, and only want to give access to your sites, you can look at this guide here.

Add Contact to Billing Portal
In this tutorial, we'll guide you through the process of adding a collaborator to your Billing Portal, allowing them to manage your services, sites, domains, and other features.
Login to the Billing Portal
From the dashboard, click 'Manage Contacts' on the blue left-side bar.
From the Contacts page, you can choose either 'Add New Contact' or 'Invite User.' If you select 'Add New Contact,' you'll need to enter the contact's information and set their permissions. If you choose 'Invite User,' your contact will provide their own information during sign-up, and you'll only need to enter their name, email, and set the permissions.
At the top of the 'Add New Contact' form, you will enter the user's information. If you are creating an account for the client, we would highly recommend selecting 'Notify Client?' to let them know their account has been created. Once information has been filled out, scroll down to select permissions.
Once you've filled out the information, scroll down to select the permissions for your various services. At the top, you can choose one of the four options for automatic permission selection:
None - The contact has no permissions on your account. They are unable to see your billing or handle anything technical.
Accounting - The contact can view and make payments on your account, but will not be allowed to handle any technical matters.
Technical Staff - The contact will be able to manage the technical aspects of all your services, including viewing the account, using the control panel, submitting support tickets, and reviewing billing information, as well as upgrading or canceling the account. If this option is selected, we recommend removing permissions for viewing billing info, upgrading, or canceling the account (per service) to avoid any unexpected charges or loss of data.
Full Privileges - Gives the contact access to everything in the account.
Once you are finished selecting your permissions, you can click 'Submit.'
Once you have submitted your contact, you will be able to view them on the Contacts page.
Now that the contact has been added, they will be able to access your account from the Billing portal. Depending on whether or not you choose 'Add new contact' and 'Notify contact?,' the contact will receive an email similar to below, where they can click 'Review in Client Area' to login.
After clicking the link, they can either log in or create a new account. Once logged in, they will see a screen like the one below, where they can accept the invite by clicking 'Accept.'
Accessing Account - Contact
After a contact has been added to an account, when they go to login, they will have the option to select the account they want to access.
They can also switch accounts from the Billing Portal by clicking 'Welcome [Client Name]' in the top-right corner, then selecting 'Switch Customer Account' to access the page above.
Manage Contacts in Billing Portal
Now that your contacts are set up, you can manage them. In the 'Manage Contacts' section, scroll down to the table and click the three-dot icon next to the contact's account. This will display options to 'Edit Contact' or 'Delete.'
If you select 'Edit Contact,' you will be taken to a form similar to the 'Invite User' form, with an additional 'Status' section. In the 'Status' section, you can choose to either close the account or keep it active.
Congratulations! You've successfully created and managed your Billing portal contacts.
