If you are getting the following message while updating some WordPress plugins, you can follow the below steps to fix it.

"Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute."

Whenever you update any WordPress theme or plugin, WordPress puts itself into maintenance mode. During this time, when you access your site, you will be notified by the“Briefly Unavailable” error message that means your website is undergoing an update at the moment and they should check back in some time. If the update is interrupted or fails, WordPress does not get a chance to take your site out of maintenance mode. In this case, you must manually change the update maintenance mode.

You can use this article on how to connect to the server via FTP.

Step #1:

Begin by logging in to your BigScoots WPO portal > navigate to Site details and Select your domain.

Step #2:

Next, under the "Overview" section, you will be able to see FTP Details (Username and password) (If there is no ftp user created please create it from the same area).

Step #3:

Use an FTP client, like FileZilla, to remove the .maintenance file from the webroot of the web files

Step #4:

Please refresh your browser, and the website should be accessible.

Congratulations! You've successfully disabled the maintenance page on your Wordpress website.
