How to change the hostname of a WHM server

This article will walk you through changing the hostname of your WHM server.

  1. Begin by logging into WHM as the root user.

   2. Select Change Hostname under the Networking Setup section.

3. Then change the hostname.

4. Now, go to the page bottom and tap “Add an A entry for your hostname”.

5. Then you will get a box to enter the IP address of your server. After entering the IP address, tap the “ADD Entry”.
