When managing a web hosting environment through WHM (WebHost Manager), there may come a time when you need to delete or terminate a user account. Whether it's due to a client's request, an inactive account, or simply a need to free up resources, it's essential to understand how to properly manage these accounts to maintain the integrity and performance of your server. In this article, we'll walk you through the steps required to delete or terminate an account from WHM, ensuring that the process is done efficiently and securely.

Proceed with caution. If you terminate an account, you cannot undo this action.

Before you remove an account, we strongly recommend that you create a full backup of that account. You can use this support article to create Full cPanel Backup.

  1. Enter WHM - If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.

  2. Click Terminate an Account option from Account Functions.

3. Select the account that you want to delete.

Congratulations! You have successfully terminated an account in WHM.
