Signup

This section will walk you through the service signup process from the Shared Hosting services page.

  1. The first step will be to select a service. On the Shared Hosting services page, you'll see three options. At the top of the page, you can choose between 'Yearly Pricing' and 'Monthly pricing.' Once you've selected a plan, click 'Get This'.

  2. On the purchasing page, you will need to fill out six categories:

    1. Select Product - Make sure the service you want is selected.

    2. Domains - You can register a domain, transfer a domain, or input your already existing domain. For those looking to register/transfer the domain to BigScoots, it is typically $15.95 annually.

If looking to migrate or start new with an existing domain, we ask that you please wait to transfer till after setup. The transfer process will take ~7 days, where we cannot adjust DNS for migration/install. In this case, select 'I already own a domain.'

If you are looking to order a domain, you can input domain name, select extension, then click 'Check.' If available, click 'Order selected domains.'

** Please do not write domain extension (.com) in domain name box **

You will then need to select an IDN language, please select you language.

If you wish to use a domain elsewhere or already own one with BigScoots, click 'I already own a domain.' Here, you can enter the domain you own, either outside of BigScoots or within your account. Be sure to leave off the domain extension (.com) from the domain name and input the extension in the field to the right. Once finished, click 'Check.'

** Please do not write domain extension (.com) in domain name box **

    3. Choose payment method - Select either card or PayPal

    4. Client Information - Enter your information so we can verify the account belongs to you later. (If you already have an account, click 'Already registered').

    5. Notes - Can leave a note to add additional information for your order.

    6. Terms of Service - Please read through then click the checkbox to agree.

Once you've entered all the information, verify 'Change billing cycle' to ensure it's correct, as it defaults to monthly. If everything looks good, click 'Order.' On the next page, you'll be prompted to complete the payment for the service.
