It’s common for account holders to transfer their websites or accounts to another BigScoots client—whether as part of a sale or simply to move a site to a trusted individual. This guide outlines the various processes involved in transferring Shared content, including individual sites, services, or entire accounts.

Transferring Sites
For those looking to transfer a site to another account, it is a fairly simple process. All we would need is for a support ticket to be sent from both accounts requesting a transfer of the site(s). Once both tickets are created, please update each with the Ticket ID of the other so we can accurately identify the accounts involved in the transfer.
Before you transfer, we ask that you please ensure the receiving account has the correct storage and sites available for the transfer. Below, you can see our shared services and their storage and site limits.
105cc$7.95 monthly $83.40 annually |

155cc$10.95 monthly $119.40 annually |

Turbo Diesel +$19.95 monthly $227.40 annually |

For information regarding how large of resources the site(s) may need, it can be found in the Disk Usage of your cPanel account - guide found here.
Transferring Sites - WPO to Shared
Transferring Sites - WPO to Shared
It is possible to transfer a site from a WPO service into a Shared service, and vice versa. However, we do not recommend taking a site from a WPO service and placing it into a Shared service as we cannot guarantee it will receive the same performance. For a WPO transfer, we would recommend getting a WPO service to match the site.
For more information regarding a WPO transfer, please check out our article:
If you wish to continue and move a site from WPO to Shared, please make sure that the site fits the storage and site limits of your Shared service. You can then put in a ticket and we will check to make sure the site is compatible with your shared service before transferring.
Transferring Services
For those looking to transfer a service to another account, it is a fairly simple process. All we would need is for a support ticket to be sent from both accounts requesting a transfer of the service. Once both tickets are created, please update each with the Ticket ID of the other so we can accurately identify the accounts involved in the transfer.
If receiving party does not currently have an account with BigScoots, we ask that they create an account using this link, then request for the transfer.
Transferring Account Ownership
Typically, we recommend that you have the recipient create a new account and transfer the site(s) or service(s) rather than transfer ownership of the account as to ensure privacy. However, if you would like to transfer account ownership, we can seamlessly transfer the account to a new owner.
For this process, you will want to go into your Billing portal and complete the following:
First, you will want to make sure you have no payments attached to the account. Click Billing, then Credit cards and make sure there are no cards on your account. If there is a card, click the three dots on the right side to bring up a dropdown, then click Delete. A pop-up will appear, click Yes to delete.
As an aside, if you are using PayPal for payments, you will want to cancel any subscriptions using this guide.
Next you will want to edit your account details to match the new owner. In the top right corner is a box that says Welcome (your name), click it to reveal a dropdown and click Edit Details.
Congratulations! You've successfully transferred content to another user.
